Carlos Serrano and the staff of Serrano's Motorsports here in Tucson have been incredibly cool and infinitely helpful. If you are ever out this way, look these guys up and give them your money. Besides being a very modest yet highly-decorated motorcycle and NASCAR-circuit racer, Carlos is a veteran shop owner and a fastidious mechanic.

Nobody understands proper maintenance better than him: he's a flat-track and motocross champion, having raced MAICO 500cc two-strokes all over the world. ...and it's great to see someone putting such passion into their livelihood. The shop is full of insanely high-performance ATV’s and motorcycles, and yet all the staff - Carlos, along with his sons - are all very casual and self-effacing, and they've given the shirts off their backs to help out a traveling motorcyclist in need.
I never cease to be amazed at the coolness of the motorcycling community, at the commitment we all share to help each other out. I have been helped tremendously by many people on this trip, but none so much as Carlos and his guys. Great people.
